About the Competition

BATTLE OF THE BANDS

This year the Urbanna Oyster Festival Foundation's Entertainment Committee has decided to hold a "Battle of the Bands" Competition for high school to college age, non-professional bands. The winner will receive a paid slot at the Urbanna Oyster Festival to play on Saturday, November 8th, 2008.

There are no registration fees. Bands should submit mp3's or videos for no less than three (3) songs, a picture that can be used for media purposes, and a short bio of the band with band members names. Only 10 bands will be chosen to compete in the contest. Each qualifying band will have 30 minutes to showcase their music. Bands must play atleast 70% cover material.

The Entertainment Committee reserves the right to turn down any submissions due to inappropriate material.
