From Northern Virginia/Washington DC: Follow I-95 South to Fredericksburg and take Hwy 17 South (through Port Royal and Tappahannock) towards Church View. Left on Route 615.

From Richmond: Follow I-64 East to Exit 220 (West Point) and continue until you come to a stoplight at Glenns and Hwy 17. Turn left on Route 17 and follow signs to Urbanna. Urbanna is approximately 60 miles southeast of Richmond.

From Hampton Roads: Follow Hwy 17 North (across the Coleman Bridge at Yorktown – you’ll need two dollars to cross the bridge) Continue North through Gloucester towards Saluda. Urbanna is about 75 miles north.

From Norfolk: I-64 West to Route 33 East (West Point Exit). Route 33 to 17 at Glenns. Turn left on Route on Route 17 and follow signs to Urbanna.

Arrival by Boat: Follow the Rappahannock River to the Port of Urbanna. (Latitude: N37° 38’ 17.3” - Longitude: W076° 34’ 13.2”). Dock or anchor your boat in our beautiful harbor. The town dinghy dock is available for your use.

If arriving by private aircraft: fly into the Middlesex County Airport at Hummel Field.

The Urbanna Oyster Festival is a Walking-Pay-as-You-Go festival.

Saturday Parking: $20.00
Parking fees offset Festival expenses and contribute to the programs of the Urbanna Oyster Festival.

Friday the Town of Urbanna is open to all vehicle traffic; unless it becomes so crowded that the Virginia State Police and Sheriff deem it to be closed for safety concerns.
Friday the town is closed on both sides of town from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm for preparation and running of the Fireman’s Parade which starts at 7:00 pm on the West side of town.

Saturday the Town of Urbanna is closed to ALL Vehicle traffic starting at 9:00 AM. The town will re-open at approximately 7:00 PM.
